Can all branches of the military place orders?
All U.S. military Branches can place orders on Govoutdoor.

Do I have to be a certain rank or have served for a certain period of time in the U.S. military?
Govoutdoor discounts are offered to personal presently on active duty serving in the U.S. military at discounts lower than AAFES prices.

What personal information do I need to register?
We will need you to email, fax or U.S. mail the following information to verify your employment with the U.S military:

• First name
• Middle initial
• Last Name
• Military email (.mil)
• Personal email (backup email)
• Phone number

Can I purchase from every brand on your site?
We have very few brands that only allow Special Operations to purchase product and they are listed below:

Who can I buy for?
This is a privilege for members only and not for friends. Your login and password cannot be shared with others. We have an agreement with our manufactures to only sell to the U.S. military. Please do not abuse this program and the generosity of the manufacturers.

Why do I pay a service fee?
We charge minimal margins and small order processing fees to bring you the best price’s possible.

The savings come directly to you from the manufactures at 35% to 50% off of retail and significantly lower than AAFES prices. This is a true military appreciation web site to give a small thanks to the men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Will everything be outdoor product related?
We will offer Tech items because they have become an instrumental part of our backcountry lifestyles. The largest gear section in Backpackers Gear Guide is currently electronics. The new portable solar panels have helped to make extended backcountry trips more enjoyable.

Where will my order ship from?
All orders ship from the Manufacture directly to you. If you order from multiple brands you will receive the packages separately at your address. Please read each manufacturer’s individual shipping terms located on their product page found on GovOutdoor.

Will you ship to my APO address?
Please see our manufactures individual shipping page found on GovOutdoor to see which companies ship to APO addresses. You can always send orders to your household in the U.S.

Can I return items that I have purchased through Govoutdoor?
You can return all items that are shipped incorrectly or that arrives as defective merchandise. All other sales are final; please make sure that you order the correct size and color when applicable. Items purchased off of Govoutdoor at a discount can not be returned to another retailer and must be sent back to the Manufacture. All returns must go back to the manufacture. Please call manufactures for a return authorization number and return address to make sure your return is processed in a timely manner.

What about defective products?
All manufactures will guarantee their products with their existing warranties listed on their web sites. Please contact the manufacture directly for a return authorization number and the correct address for their return facility.
